CROSSTYLE — Same tiles. New style.
What you need
Any letter tile game — Scrabble, Bananagrams, or even letters written on paper or card. 2–4 players.
Setup
Place all tiles face down in the middle of the table. Choose the number of players and word difficulty in the app, then press Generate. Each player gets a target grid on screen showing the words they need to build.
Taking turns
Decide who goes first — rock paper scissors works well! On your turn, tap the spinner to get a number. Flip that many tiles face up from the pile. Take any tiles you need for your grid, then flip the rest face down in exactly the same position.
The memory element
You saw those tiles — and so did everyone else! Remember where the letters are for next time.
Winning
First player to complete their grid wins. In English class, discuss the words on your grid before the next round — can you use them in a sentence?
Missing Letters mode
Some tiles on your grid are hidden — work out what they are from the crossing words, find them, and place them to complete your grid. If you reveal a hidden letter and your word is different to what the app shows, that's completely fine — as long as it's a real word that fits!
